Terms for using JapanMust travel guides and the Japan Interpreter mobile app.
1. Acceptance and services
By using japanmust.com or the Japan Interpreter app, you agree to these terms. The website provides Japan travel information. The app provides text, camera and voice interpretation tools.
2. Translation limitations
Machine translation, optical character recognition, speech recognition and menu explanations can be incomplete or incorrect. Do not rely on them alone for emergencies, medical decisions, legal matters, transportation safety, food allergies or other high-stakes situations. Confirm critical details with a qualified person or the relevant service provider. Menu descriptions do not guarantee ingredients or allergen safety.
3. Free trial and purchase
The app provides a five-day (120-hour) full-feature trial beginning with the first successful translation. After the trial, basic features remain available without payment. Continued microphone translation requires Lifetime Premium, a one-time in-app purchase; there is no subscription or automatic renewal. Actual pricing is shown by Apple or Google at checkout. Purchase and refund eligibility follow the relevant store rules and applicable consumer law.
4. Device requirements and availability
Features may depend on device compatibility, permissions, installed language resources, operating-system services and connectivity. Offline availability is not guaranteed for every voice-recognition configuration. We may update, fix or discontinue features, subject to applicable law.
5. Acceptable use and intellectual property
Use the services lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt them. JapanMust site content, branding and app materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You retain rights to content you provide, subject to the permissions required for local processing and platform services.
6. Disclaimer and liability
The services are provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free translation. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
